Food Truck Friday is a Carthage favorite with up to 24 food trucks at each event held June to September.  You will find great food, amazing entertainment and family fun in beautiful Central Park, Carthage.



Frequently Asked Questions:

Every Friday? No, Food Truck Friday is on the second Friday of each month from June – September.

What time? 11am-9pm are the official times we ask all of our trucks to sell. However some might open earlier than 11am and some might leave earlier if they run out of food.

What if it rains? Food Truck Friday happens rain or shine. The CVB works closely with emergency management and Carthage Fire Department to detect severe weather and will alert attendees of any safety concerns.

Are there tables? Yes… but… the City of Carthage graciously provides picnic tables to Central Park, but tables may fill or may have spills from previous patrons. There are tables, but you are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs as well.

Can I bring a pet? YES-with a leash.  P.S. Play nice & use waste baggies.

Can I bring my own food or cooler? YES-but no glass bottles. Bring a blanket. Stretch out and enjoy the day. There’s live music from 4-9pm.

But, really, can I bring my own “drinks”? Yes… but really, no glass bottles.

Vendors & Entertainment:

How do I get “in” to Food Truck Friday? Food vendors are essential to this event. The committee reviews food vendor applications based on menu, social media presence (trucks have positive reviews and customer relations), and photos provided in applications (or on social media).

I don’t sell food; can my business or non-profit group have space at Food Truck Friday? Yes, if you have a business or non-profit to promote, products or crafts to sell, entertainment to share, we want you. Food Truck Friday is about bringing out the best of the best available in the community and the region and we hope you can join us. Our committee reviews table vendor applications to avoid repetition, ensure family friendly atmosphere, and limit waste in the park.  We encourage non-profit organizations to sell bottled drinks, and fees will be waived. All non-profit organizations wanting to sell food must complete a food vendor process and pay application fees.

What time is set up? Food Trucks should be in place and ready to sell food at 11am. Check your application and event guidelines for specifics. Set up begins at 8:00 am, health department & public works checks start at 9 am for those who may need annual inspections. The event ends at 9 pm.
